Freedom Soundworks
Mission statement
“Bringing music to the world through quality recording services and artist development, regardless of financial means”
Freedom Soundworks is a nonprofit, charitable 501(c)(3) organization focused on audio production and artist development aimed at all musicians, musical genres and geographic locations. With the ease of file transfer that modern digital music brings, we are able to work with artists in different countries around the world.....truly uniting the world through music. We subsidize most to all production costs through private donations and fund-raising.
*We are all inclusive and will work with any genre*
Often times, the financial aspect of the creative process becomes a hinderance to most people and their art. We want to offer a platform so that the next “Elvis”, “Prince” or “Amy Winehouse”, that may not otherwise have the monetary means of getting their music into the ears of the masses, doesn’t miss their chance. In turn, the world isn’t deprived of that magic we know as great music.
A person’s “SOUL” is best expressed through music and art. Have you ever been touched by a particular song? Is that particular song reminiscent of a moment in time in your life? Why are you so compelled to sing or hum along? Why do you treasure every time you hear that song? The value of this cannot be measured and is a necessity on the same level as food, comfort or love. Music is not merely a device used to recall memories themselves. Just as having a good experience may attach itself to a particular song a good song may attach itself to a particular memory.
How is it that the most impactful and truly timeless songs are from hundreds of years ago? Why do the works of great artists such as Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Tchaikovsky still continue, whereas the songs of today become forgotten after a decade or, in our currant society, six months? Radio did not exist hundreds of years ago. People did not have the same access to music as they do now. If we are truly evolving…why are we regressing artistically?
Commercialism of music/art in general, is largely to blame. The problem arises as advertisers have become the largest patrons of music. Whether it’s a fast food companies signature tune, or a powerful law firm’s catchy jingle…neither satisfies our true hunger for music. In these troubled times, a ‘hit’ song rarely lasts an entire year.
Hundreds of years ago, wealthy private patrons were by far the largest supporters of music and the arts. Artists and composers created their work in an atmosphere that was conducive to inspiring the “SOUL”. The greatest artists did not feel the pressure of market demands or having to be the “next big thing”. Can you imagine telling Bach that if he did not create a hit, he would be dropped from his label? Artists were free to create and it was this freedom that inspired creation.
Our Mission is to help the “SOUL” of music to once again thrive! To take away some of the restraints and remove some of the obstacles involved in the creative process. To simply be of service to anyone that calls upon us to do so.
Your donation to Freedom Soundworks will help our cause in the following ways:
- Create a nurturing environment for artists of all backgrounds
- Produce/mix/engineer musical projects from concept to completion
- Help artists to network with each other and likeminded musical organizations
- Contribute to other charitable organizations
- Teach audio engineering to perpetuate music for generations to come.
Our “SOUL” purpose is to bring our musical concept and services nationwide, and maybe someday...worldwide??
